The 17th modern running of Falcon Motor Club's March Hare Trial, the only Classic Reliability Trial to be held in the Chilterns, will take place on Sunday 1st March 2015.

2008 saw a major milestone being passed as that years event marked the 50th anniversary of the very first March Hare Trial. Remarkably the 2015 event will still use some of the sections from the very first event.

This years event will follow the familar format of previous years (but with variations of course!), and as usual will provide competitors with an enjoyable full days sport in the lovely Chiltern countryside. A good number of competitive sections and special tests are planned, providing a challenge to both novice and expert crews. Most of the old favourites are included, with at least one brand new, never before used, challenging lane and more use of the "newer" sections will made. The road mileage is approximately 70.

The organising team every year comprises of well known and experienced trials competitors, thus guaranteeing a superb event in the beautiful countryside of Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Both the start and finish are again at the friendly Chequers Inn, Redbourn, just 3 miles from the M1 junction 9. Trailer & tow car parking is available a short distance away. Breakfast, snacks and drinks will be available from 7.30am, and post-event meals/refreshments are on offer at very reasonable prices [the venue is a 'Chef & Brewer' Pub/Restaurant, and booking is not necessary]. Competitors are strongly encouraged to patronise the venue in order to ensure the facilities remain available for future use.

The event is now "Clubman" and is open to Falcon Motor Club members and members of Stroud & District M.C., MGCC, VSCC, Eastbourne & Ram M.C., West Suffolk M.C., Farnborough & District M.C., Eastwood & District M.C. and the MCC. A further 5 invitations to other clubs are available on a first come first served basis. A competition licence is not required. And as the event is limited to 50 starters potential competitors are advised to enter early as the event has previously been over-subscribed.

The Club issued the following statement:

"With several approach roads flooded and all our venues completely water-logged, it is with regret, but no surprise, that we have to cancel this year’s March Hare Trial. Thank you if you offered to help and for your entry if you had entered. The March Hare will return next year refreshed and hopefully drier." 13th February 2014

For the second year in succession around 1 second separated the top two. This time Liam Rafferty edged out Dean Partington to take overall honours. There were 5 clean sheets altogether.
