Ian Davis (VW Buggy) receives his trophies from Hazel MacDonald having won the 2004 event after a very close battle with Elizabeth Tucker-Peake (Peugeot 205 GTi). Also in the picture is John Parsons (one of the joint Clerks of the Course) and Dave Nash (Secretary of the Meeting)

The "March Hare" is the only Classic Trial to be held in the South East of England. Promoted by Falcon Motor Club it offers a full competitive days motor sport for both experienced and novice crews.

The organising team each year comprises well known and experienced trials competitors, thus guaranteeing a superb event which is held in the beautiful countryside of Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

There are typically 15 sections plus 2 special tests in a 90 mile course. Each year many of the old favourite hills are tackled, but new challenging sections are regularly added. 2005 will be no exception with some new "interesting" woodland sections already on the books! The route is not as rough as some of the current ACTC and MCC events, so is very suitable for those wanting to have their first try. However experienced competitors shouldn't get too complacent! As always thorough car preparation is essential.

The 2005 event is being held a week later than normal to avoid a clash with Mother's Day - in previous years this has caused problems with both competitor and marshal numbers. No excuses this year - you could even bring your Mother! It is anticipated that this years trial will be over-subscribed, so an early entry is advised in order to avoid disappointment.

Murray's VW-Audi Discount Store have generously sponsored the March Hare since 1999.
